Hello everyone, welcome back to Marshmallow Station!
Today, I'm thrilled to finally share the story behind why we started this business, and how we came up with our shop name. Even if you may have been shopping with us for a year, many of you guys might not know the story behind our shop as there was no proper space for us to share it with you guys. Let's dive into it together!
Our story begins from our love for our two lovely feline babies, Marsh and Mallow. As we already have shared breifly about why we started this business on our first blog post, the main reason why we started this business was to share the great quailty and cute Korean stationery designs with our friends in the US who does not have chance to be expose to these goods with the reasonable price. Another reason we started this business focused on 'cat themed stationery products' was to fulfill the needs of cat lovers like us because there wasn't many cat theme goods available compare to dog themed goods.
Our shop name Marshmallow Station, in simple terms, it was named after our two beloved cats, Marsh and Mallow. Let me introduce you a little bit about them.
Meet Marsh, our cute nosy troublemaker! Marsh had such an innocent cute face, but on the other side he is always looking for fun things to do which always turns out to be causing a trouble for us to clean. He is full of energy and always up to something. Marsh loves to play, explore, and also loves to cuddly with us even during the hot summer season. Also, he has a big appetite where he always meow for more food every hour, and he is always curious about everything we eat and he is always willing to try it himself!
Meet Mallow, our lovely calm brother of Marsh. Mallow is such a handsome enchanting boy where often people misconceive him as a female cat on their first sight. He enjoys lounging on the couch or cat tree, watching how our house it going at a relaxed pace of his own. Mallow loves to play with Marsh during the day, and also loves to cuddle with us during the night. Unlike Marsh, Mallow is a picky eater I'd say, he is only interested in 'cat food' and only eats what he is used to since he was a kitten.
We named our shop Marshmallow Station and started our shop with 'cat themed goods' originated from the love for our cats, and for other cat lovers like us.
However, as we always wanted to improve and reflect our customers' needs, we decided to not only focus on cats anymore, but focus more on introducing our country, South Korea's good quality stationery and goods to our US customers as we are aware that many people have limited access to it here in the US.
We'll dive deeper about this in the second part of our story, so please enjoy the photos of our cute cats for now until our next blog post about us.
