Hello everyone, and welcome back to Marshmallow Station!
Today, the brand we are going to introduce to you guys is a brand called, "Some Cats." Some Cats was also one of our starting partners, and we are incredibly grateful for their continuous support and creative designs. As their love for stationery and cats was shown throughout their products, blog, and Instagram, it worked out perfectly with our shop's theme.
Some Cats is a brand cofounded by two artists in 2018. They both used nicknames, which were "big some cat," and "small some cat." They first met as a colleague at a job and started this business together. However, after about two years of working together, small some cat had to quit due to personal reasons, where big some cat became the main artist and the owner of the brand in 2020. From then on, the artist used the brand name as the artist name as well, and she had to manage all parts of the brand herself.
The artist faced challenges having to take care of all the tasks that used to be divided for two people all by herself, from designing, producing, taking product photos, packaging orders, and managing her online store. As Some Cats grew bigger over time, her family stepped in to help in various ways. Especially during illustration fairs, her entire family, even a friend of her sibling came to support her by helping with her booth setup, sales, and wrapping customers' purchased items.
Some Cats designs contains three main characters named, "Geomuyo," "Hiyo," and, "Coco." These lovely cat characters were inspired by feral cats and stray cats in the streets of South Korea that the artist was able to face easily in everyday life with a hint of her own style added in to give individuality to each characters.
This lovely brand's motivation is for their audience to have a lovely day with sweet cat friends, as their motto says, "What shall we do today? Create your day with cute cat friends from Some Cats."
We often get motivated by Some Cats' hard work, attending numerous fairs each year, and consistently putting in the effort to bring joy to her supporters and customers by creating new designs and products at a consistent pace. Her dedication is evident in every aspect of her work, in which she succeeded in proofing the motto she set for her brand, bringing joy to her audience in their daily life. These were the factors that led us to want to collaborate with Some Cats and spread the word of this brand's hard work
